Account information: Name, email address, business name, and billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan.

Booking data: Reservation details, guest profiles, contact information, and visit history that you enter into ResEat for your venue.

Usage data: How you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and session duration — collected via standard web analytics.

Communications: Records of any support requests or emails you send us.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the ResEat platform
• Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications
• Send service notifications, updates, and support responses
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the product
• Comply with legal obligations under Australian law

We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

Any guest data you store in ResEat (names, contact details, preferences, visit history) is your data. You remain the data controller for this information.

We act as a data processor on your behalf. We will not access this data except to provide the service or as required by law.

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from your guests to store their information, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia. We use industry-standard security measures including:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data
• Access controls and authentication requirements
• Regular security reviews

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. If you become aware of any security concerns, please contact us immediately at security@reseat.com.au.

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including payment processors, email delivery services, and analytics providers. These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and only as directed by us.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for 90 days, after which it is permanently deleted.
